Job Description



  • You will act as Naval Justic School Registrar of students, managing course scheduling, quota control, administrative student support, and matriculation for all Naval Justic School courses.
  • You will analyze student orders to ensure all courses do not exceed budget limitations.
  • You will be responsible for promulgating and maintaining all academic data and reports.
  • You will oversee preparation and forwarding of student information packages.
  • You will ensure timely and accurate submission of all required student information into CeTARS.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.


Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:

1) Working knowledge of education theories, principles, processes and practices associated with adult learning and education;

2) Evaluating military service records, transfer/TAD orders, pay records, law school documents, state bar documents, and overseas screening paperwork;

3) Using word processing software, including Windows OS, Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, and the use of various training database systems;

4) Working knowledge of Navy Filing and Directives System, Navy Correspondence Manual, Department of the Navy Directives Issuance System, Department of the Navy Standard Subject Identification Codes, and the Standard Navy Distribution List Parts I & II, Coast Guard Standard Distribution List, List of Marine Corps Activities (LMCA), Message Address Directory, MILPERS Manual, Officer/Enlisted Transfer Manual, PAYPERS Manual, and Joint Travel Regulations, Master Course Reference File (MCRF) Users Manual and Student Master File (SMF) User's Manual;

5) Typing accurately using proper spelling, grammar, punctuation and required formats.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.



In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related

or

a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
