Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for large, complex DoD acquisition programs.
  • Perform schedule risk assessments for weapon system programs, including the development of schedule logic, identification of driving paths, and critical dependencies.
  • Conduct Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) using Monte Carlo simulation techniques to quantify schedule uncertainty and identify key risk drivers.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate schedule risks and improve program execution.
  • Support planning and execution of customer engagements, including standing up new schedule management processes or improving existing processes.
  • Interface directly with government program managers, technical leads, and executive leadership, delivering clear, concise schedule briefings and decision-support products.
  • Conducts logical analysis of management problems and management information requirements and formulates mathematical models of problems for solutions by computer.
  • Prepares mathematical models of problem areas in forms of one of several equations that relate constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives and their numerical parameters.
  • Gathers, relates, identifies data with variables in models by applying personal judgment and mathematical tests.
  • Reviews operations and testing of models to ensure adequacy or determines needs for reformulation.
  • Analyzes operations methods, which require substantial competence in the rigorous methods of scientific and mathematical inquiry and analysis.
  • Prepares written, non-technical reports to management, indicating solutions or range of possible alternatives in rank of desirability and probability of success when there is no single solution.
  • May be assigned responsibility for the management of the function, including associated staff.
  • Support proposal efforts, contract start-up activities, and transition-in planning as required.

  • Bachelor's degree and 11+ years of related work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a scheduling, planning, or schedule risk role within a defense, space, or federal acquisition environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience using MS Project or comparable scheduling tools.
  • Proven experience evaluating schedule risk on complex, multi-disciplinary programs, including hands-on experience conducting Monte Carlo-based schedule risk analyses.
  • Experience planning and executing customer engagements, particularly with new customers, to implement or enhance schedule management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief and interact with executive-level stakeholders, translating complex schedule data into decision-quality insights.
