Site Security Assistant to help Site Security manager in ensuring the construction site for new secure facility meets all accreditation requirements. Candidate will need to already possess SCIF/SAPF MILCON security experience, Physical Security experience including ICD705 training, and experience in accreditations.
** : This position is being filled as a (DTA) to meet non-permanent staffing needs. The initial appointment will be for and may be extended in one-year increments, not to exceed a total of 8 years, based on mission needs and funding availability. **
This position will serve as the Site Security Assistant for construction of the Space Force Intelligence Facility. Duties include leading a large team of Security Assistants, ensuring all construction meets ICD705 accreditation and customer standards, facilitating inspections, documenting and communicating progress, coordinating across a large and diverse team of stakeholders and contractors, and advising on key decision points. The ideal candidate for this position will possess SCIF/SAPF MILCON security experience, Physical Security experience including ICD705 training, knowledge of TEMPEST requirements and processes, knowledge and experience with SCIF/SAPF accreditations, experience leading large groups in daily tasks, strong communication skills, and a history of successfully balancing multiple requirements through to execution. DCSA CDSE SFPC and PSC certifications are highly desired.
1. Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve very complex security problems due to SCIF implementation to manage/implement the NSIC Physical Security Program.
2. Knowledge of DoD and USSF antiterrorism and force protection doctrine, policies, and instructions to coordinate objectives and develop plans for interrelated security programs.
3. Knowledge of security program relationships to make recommendations allowing for differing program requirements, and multiple security objectives; and knowledge of the required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
4. Knowledge of the intelligence enterprise to support and promote industrial and physical security strategy.
5. Skill in gathering, assembling, and analyzing facts; drawing conclusions; devising solutions to problems; identifying changes and trends; and preparing and presenting information to leadership; and ability to prioritize.
6. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.7. Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines and ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization.

- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with SCI access.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP).
- A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) conferral is required within 2 years of the initial assignment date in accordance with DoD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification.
- Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program.
