Job Description:
Develops, maintains and releases electrical/mechanical drawings, systems designs or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry and governmental standards. Using design tools prepares documentation and incorporates design changes. Creates, develops and maintains systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies. Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities. Develops and maintains product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to moderately complex. Coordinates activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers. Works under general direction.
Required Experience:
3+ years of experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in Model-Based Definition (CATIA V5, Solidworks, Siemens, NX), ENOVIA, and PDM
Experience working in a cross functional team environment and have good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in electrical wiring design, wiring installation design, equipment installation design, systems and wiring architecture, FAA/EWIS/military certification, electrical fabrication, and electrical production line support
Familiarity with electrical system design principles and relevant regulations
Ability to quickly adapt to program tools and procedures
Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
