SMS is seeking an experienced Logistician to join the SMS team providing receiving, warehousing, inventory control, order fulfillment and shipping for the Army Integrated Fires Rapid Capabilities Office (IFRCO) logistics support at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville. This Logistician Analyst role is with the property team providing logistics database administration and lifecycle management of equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities
Primary work location will be in office/warehouse environment. Occasionally, work will be performed in places such as airfields, test sites, equipment storage yards, and similar facilities. At times work may be performed in inclement weather conditions.

Responsibilities
- Provide warehouse/logistics support to the Integrated Fires/ Office Distribution Center, including but not limited to the following:
- Plan, organize, and support day-to-day operations
- Prepare property documentation to maintain accountability of IFRCO, SHIELD & IFMC assets
- Inventory and maintain accountability of Government property to support military operations
- Document the inventory, receipt, and shipment of equipment and systems
- Execute Army property book transactions
- Operate supply accountability systems, upload inventory information to IUID registers, and utilize RFID technologies
- Perform planning for and assist in the loading and offloading of equipment onto various modes of transport
- Provide expertise in:
- Utilizing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and/or government logistics databases to move systems and equipment across the world
- The use of computer applications (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) to communicate logistical transactions to contractor and government leadership

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Preferred) with 2 years of experience in Supply and Warehouse management within Government or Military operations
- OR, High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience in Supply and Warehouse management within Government or Military operations
- DoD Secret security Clearance
- Driver's License
- Experience with retrograde, transportation, property accountability, and environmental stewardship
- Knowledge of various logistics forms (DD or DA) and their functions and the handling of various Army property transactions
- Ability to work and perform tasks as part of a team, including two person lifts and carries of materials
- Physical ability to perform activities such as climbing up/down ladders and stairs, walking on uneven or obstacle filled terrain, standing, bending, and lifting/carrying equipment (up to 35 lbs. unassisted) for the duration of a typical workday.
- Knowledge of shipping and warehouse management practices
Desired Abilities
- Able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and prioritize tasks to maintain schedules.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Tools
- Proficiency in using Commercial Off the Shelf and Government automated property database systems
- Proficiency (2+ years of experience) with Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS) Program Management Suite and Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS)
- Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services (DLADS) experience
- Strong leadership, partnership, collaboration and teambuilding skills.
- Strong self-starter, motivated, enthusiastic, innovative, customer service-oriented with a record of success.
- Ability to thrive with the rapid pace and constant change associated with the industry and Federal Government.
- Experience supporting Counter-Rocket, Artillery, Mortar (C-RAM) products and systems or Integrated Fires / Rapid Capabilities Office (IFRCO) products and systems
- Experience with or exposure to the use of heavy machinery such as forklifts
