Job Summary:
The Field Operations Coordinator Works with the regional managers and Integrators/IPT Leads to resource and support surge as needed, including in support of major training exercises. Acts as a mentor and coach to field operations personnel, providing one-on-one guidance, support, and feedback. Is responsible for overseeing logistics operations at the local site level for JPMRC - CTC. This position ensures consistent execution of supply chain activities including property accountability, inventory management, transport coordination, and material distribution in support of operational requirements.
The Field Operations Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between local site technicians & managers, program management, and centralized supply chain offices to ensure site specific logistics goals are achieved efficiently and in compliance with applicable policies.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Local Site Oversight • Responsible for the coordination of schedules, organizing, and the facilitation of meetings in support of Site Management.
• Sets agendas, notifies participants, prepares, documents, and disseminates minutes or action points.
• Monitors the progress of tasks assigned during IPT meetings, especially for TDLs/TDPs.
• Tracks deadlines, ensuring responsible parties are aware of their tasks, and following up for timely completion
• Report to the Site Manager/Coordinator and Regional Logistician, provide daily status, insight, and advice to minimize potential impact to operations due to Logistics Delay Time (LDT)
• Provide leadership and oversight to Field Operations personnel performing logistics transactions across multiple field sites within the assigned region
• Monitor execution of inventory, shipping/receiving, material requests, and property transactions
• Conduct assessments to ensure supply posture and accountability standards are met
• Investigate and report property losses and significant inventory adjustments, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement steps for correction as identified in the Internal Corrective Action Plan (iCAP)
• Ensure alignment with overall program logistics strategy and objectives
• Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.
• Reviews production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material, requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material.
Supply Chain Coordination
• Coordinate inter-site material transfers and equipment movement within the region
• Work with depot and warehouse leads to ensure timely fulfillment of site requirements
• Serve as escalation point for site specific logistics issues and special requests
Property Management & Compliance
• Ensure accurate accountability and documentation of Government-Furnished Property (GFP) and Contractor-Acquired Property (CAP)
• Support internal and external audits, inventory reconciliations, and corrective action tracking
• Enforce adherence to FAR 52.245-1, company property procedures, and contract-specific guidelines
• Identify, Initiate and submit Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) disposition cases as required and follow-up on status of case submission and turn-in on a consistent basis. Schedule, coordinate and execute DLA disposition actions and complete necessary paperwork as appropriate.
• Compile report of quantity and type of material on hand, move or transport material from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck;
• Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods of the establishment in which employed and receiving incoming shipments. In performing day-to-day, routine tasks, follows established guidelines.
• In handling unusual non-routine problems, this worker receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.
• This incumbent may direct and coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling goods to be shipped or being received.
• Shipping duties typically involve the following: verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents; ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles, and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading.
• Receiving duties typically involve the following: verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records, checking for damaged goods, insuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment, and preparing and keeping records of goods received.
• *Manages timelines, coordinates tasks, and adjusts plans as necessary to meet objectives.
• Ensures that all activities and operations within the site comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with the FOCUS Center Manager and other site leads on projects, share knowledge and resources, and work together towards common objectives.
• Fosters an environment of innovation within the site.
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of site logistics, ensuring that projects and activities are progressing as planned.
Reporting & Analysis
• Track and report on material status, property movements, and inventory levels across the site
• Support demand analysis and forecasting to ensure sufficient material availability at forward locations
• Provide input to program metrics and performance indicators related to logistics
Process Improvement & Training
• Identify opportunities to streamline logistics workflows and improve accuracy and responsiveness
• Train and mentor site technicians on logistics systems, reporting tools, and best practices
• Support implementation of standardized logistics processes across supported sites
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
• High School 5+ years of logistics, supply chain or program management experience with increasing responsibility
Required Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of property accountability standards and government regulations
• Familiarity with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8) or other logistics/ERP systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to travel regularly to supported field locations
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) through the National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) process
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or a related field
• Experience in government contracting or military logistics environments
• Knowledge of ARAS, SAP, and/or Power BI
• Familiarity with DMSMS, FRACAS, and sustainment planning
