You will be the Augmented Reality Development Engineer (Level 2) for the Digital Factory team which is responsible for designing, building, and supporting AR/MR applications that empower production operators in the connected factory.
As the Augmented Reality Development Engineer (Level 2) you will be responsible for developing AR/MR software, documenting requirements, testing solutions, and delivering training and post-implementation support.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Design, code, test, and deploy AR/MR applications that provide real-time data, graphics, and audio to operators.
• Document processes, scenarios, and detailed requirements; review technical specifications for completeness.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing to ensure solution quality.
• Develop deployment plans, create training content, and act as the liaison between Production Operations and AR users.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Systems, Engineering, and Technology teams to align AR/MR solutions with Model-Based Enterprise initiatives.

You are a collaborative problem-solver with strong programming skills (C#, Python, Unity/Unreal) and a solid grasp of AR/MR concepts. Your analytical mindset and ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive user experiences make you an effective bridge between technology and production.

The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain required secret security clearance.
The selected candidate must be willing to travel on occasion as business needs arise.
• Possess a STEM degree; preferably mechanical or aeronautical engineering, software engineering, or data science
• Strong problem solving capabilities
• Background in software, programming and/or data science
• Experience with systems engineering and/or project management
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Understanding of general aircraft manufacturing processes and execution
• Understands expected outcomes from Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Planning
• Product Data Management and Bill of Material Use

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
