Job Description

Are you a results-driven, team-oriented manufacturing operations leader? This is the opportunity for you! As an Operations Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations and support the strategic goals for one or more areas in operations. This role involves managing and coordinating manufacturing, production control, inventory control, and materials functions. You will ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company policies and regulations.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.


  • Supervise daily manufacturing and production control activities.
  • Coordinate inventory control and materials functions, including purchasing and shipping/receiving.
  • Monitor and improve operational processes in conjunction with quality assurance and engineering teams.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in translating customer requirements into effective manufacturing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of operations.
  • Provide training and development for operational staff.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and process improvements.



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field of study.
  • 5+ years of operations management experience.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with the practical application of production/manufacturing principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
  • Exposure to materials management systems.


  • Professional certification such as Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six-sigma, and/or Theory of Constraints Manufacturing Principles.
  • Understanding of Assembly, Integration, and Test practices.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.



  • Ability to work on a computer for the majority of the work shift.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for data entry and document handling.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required.
  • Ability to read detailed operational documents, reports, and computer screens.
  • Ability to inspect operations and facilities, potentially in different lighting conditions.
  • Ability to hear and understand spoken communication in noisy environments such as manufacturing floors or during team meetings.
  • Ability to navigate large facilities, including climbing stairs or ladders if necessary.
  • Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for site visits or other work-related travel.
  • Ability to perform fine motor tasks such as adjusting small controls or tools during inspections or demonstrations.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
