Job Description



  • The ability to clearly communicate complex information to diverse audiences, prepare accurate reports and correspondence, deliver training, and effectively serve as a liaison to resolve operational issues.
  • The ability to manage relationships with customers and contractors, anticipate needs, proactively resolve problems, and motivate individuals toward mutual goals.
  • Verbally briefing senior leadership and division chiefs on budget execution status, supply-chain vulnerabilities, and audit readiness, translating technical supply data and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable decision-points.
  • The ability to independently use applications like Word, Excel, and others to create and manage reports, spreadsheets, and professional documents. Advanced skills for data analysis and creating charts are highly valued.
  • The ability to independently monitor expenditures, verify accounting reports, and play a significant role in developing and formulating budget requests. This includes providing insightful analysis and recommendations on budget execution.
  • Constructing and maintaining complex, multi-tab Excel spreadsheets utilizing advanced formulas to track, reconcile, and audit massive volumes of warehouse inventory, GFEBS procurement logs, and budget line-item expenditures.
  • Enforces contractor compliance with supply and logistics regulations.
  • Manage inventory housed in multiple warehouses, including requisitioning, inspecting, receiving, storing, issuing, and disposing of items.
  • Interpret and implement supply regulations, analyze and resolve complex supply transaction issues, and develop plans to address conflicting or insufficient data.





  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Incumbent is required to obtain/maintain a government motor vehicle license.
  • This position requires the incumbent to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 5% of the time.
  • This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance Level as a condition of employment.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Managing comprehensive inventory operations across multiple warehouse facilities; 2.) Enforces contractor compliance with supply and logistical regulations; and 3.) Independently interpreting policies to resolve non-standard supply transaction discrepancies.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level/grade position in the federal service (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
