Senior Network Engineer

This position is for a Senior Network Engineer to support our client in the Washington DC area. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructure. Key responsibilities include network architecture design, troubleshooting, security implementation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable network solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
• Implement network security measures and protocols
• Collaborate with system administrators and developers
• Ensure network performance and availability
• Document network configurations and procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols
• Experience with network security tools and practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or CISSP
• Experience with cloud networking technologies
• Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN)

Clearance Requirement: Secret clearance required.

Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
