Job Description
The Test & Evaluation (T&E) lifecycle of a major USAF aircraft program. The prospective candidate will assist in designing, planning, executing, and analyzing test programs for aeronautical systems, while also developing and reviewing critical documentation like the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP). This position requires delivery of technical analysis, offering recommendations on test strategies, and supporting various program reviews and audits. A key function includes interacting with multiple test organizations to ensure program alignment and resource availability. The role also involves assessing data collection methods, performing data analysis, and assisting in the development of test requirements for aircraft modernization and sustainment efforts.
As a Test and Evaluation (T&E) Management Support specialist for a major USAF aircraft program, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and analysis of test programs for the aircraft's critical systems and subsystems. You will interact with the USAF program office, DoD test organizations, and industry contractors. Your work will directly contribute to the combat readiness of this vital national security asset, guaranteeing it remains an effective strategic deterrent for the 21st century. This position will be located at Eglin AFB, FL.
Responsibilities:
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
• End-to-End Test Program Management: Assisting in all phases of the Test & Evaluation (T&E) process, including the design, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting for the aeronautical systems and subsystems.
• Development and Review of T&E Documentation: Preparing, maintaining, and reviewing the full range of critical test documentation, most notably the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), to ensure compliance and guide the program.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Support: Supporting all aspects of Integrated Test Team (ITT) activities, which involves extensive interaction with various test organizations such as the Combined Test Force, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and operational testers.
• Strategic Analysis and Recommendations: Assessing test strategies, requirements, and objectives to identify and resolve issues that impact the weapon system's performance, safety, interoperability, or capability, and recommending alternative approaches to the government.
• Test Resource Management: Assisting the government in determining the availability of major DoD test resources and facilities and then scheduling those resources to support the program's objectives.
Qualifications Required:
• 10 years of experience in T&E including experience in managing weapon system platforms with at least 5 years of experience in DoD
• Defense Acquisition T&E Level III Certification or equivalent proficiency
• Experience in SPO test management, Test program sets, Test execution with test organizations, Test resourcing and/or policy at Major Command or Air Staff levels
Education:
• Bachelor's degree with 18 years of experience or Master's degree with 10 years of experience
Clearance Requirements:
• Must possess an active DoD Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility)
