Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development of high-performance RF systems used in radar and Flight Termination Systems (FTS) programs. This role is hands-on and collaborative, working closely with RF, mechanical, and software engineers to design, test, and troubleshoot advanced embedded hardware systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy working across the full lifecycle—from concept and design through integration and testing—within a mission-critical defense environment.
Key Responsibilities
Translate system requirements into detailed electrical designs at the component, board, and system levels
Design, develop, and test mixed-signal electronic systems and assemblies
Perform schematic capture and support PCB layout for multi-layer boards
Develop and execute Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and automated test scripts
Conduct system integration, bring-up, and troubleshooting of RF and embedded systems
Support design reviews, including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR
Integrate COTS and custom hardware into complex RF systems
Create and maintain technical documentation (design docs, test reports, user guides)
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges
Travel up to 15% to support testing, integration, and deployment activities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (3–5+ years), or Master’s with 1–3+ years
Experience with schematic capture and PCB design for multi-layer boards
Experience in digital design, including FPGAs, microcontrollers, or embedded processors
Experience with circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting (analog and digital)
Hands-on experience using lab/test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, VNAs, etc.)
Experience developing technical documentation (test procedures, reports, design documents)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with FPGA development (VHDL and/or Verilog)
Familiarity with high-speed digital interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet)
Experience with RF systems, radar, or signal processing applications
Experience with tools such as Altium, PADS, MATLAB, SPICE, HFSS, ADS, or Vivado/Quartus
Knowledge of RF fundamentals, including transmission lines, filtering, and EMI/EMC considerations
Familiarity with DFM/DFT principles
Exposure to radar systems or RF signal processing
Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher)
