Job Description
The Business Analyst plays a critical role in the application migration team by bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This position is responsible for analyzing the organization's current state, identifying customer requirements, defining future states, and ensuring that the migration process aligns with business objectives. The Business Analyst works within the SAFe Agile framework to support the team's decision-making process and ensure that migrated applications meet both technical and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive analyses of the organization's structure, processes, and systems.
Assess the current business model and its integration with technology.
Identify areas for improvement and optimization in the context of application migration.
Design and document business processes that align with the new hosting environment.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure system designs meet business requirements.
Create process maps and workflows to illustrate current and future states.
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements for the migration team.
Document the current state of applications, including dependencies and integrations
Collaborate with stakeholders to define the desired future state of applications post-migration
Create detailed specifications for the future state, including process improvements and system enhancements
Gather and analyze data from various sources to support decision-making
Synthesize complex information into clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders
Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input from diverse stakeholders
Communicate analysis findings, recommendations, and project progress to all levels of the organization
Assess proposed technical solutions against business requirements
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for different migration approaches
Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on business processes and user experience
Develop UAT plans and test cases based on business requirements
Document and communicate test results and necessary adjustments
Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives)
Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog
Ensure user stories are well-defined and meet acceptance criteria
Qualifications:
Requirements: Bachelors degree
Years of Experience: 3-5
Clearance:

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
