Job Title: Staff DevSecOps Engineer
Location: King of Prussia, PA
Type of Role: Full-Time, Onsite
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Global Edge Consultants, LLC is seeking a Staff DevSecOps Engineer to support secure software development and infrastructure within a highly classified space and defense environment. The successful candidate will be excited about incorporating new technologies into the software development process and will own key aspects of development infrastructure, performing to stringent customer specifications. This role also includes system administration functions to support development efforts, with a strong emphasis on documentation and auditable DevSecOps practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Maintain and enhance development infrastructure supporting secure software delivery and mission requirements.

Perform system administration functions to support development, integration, and test activities.

Develop, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on integrating security efficiently at each stage.

Leverage automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and automated security testing tools to embed security controls and quality gates into build, test, and deploy workflows.

Work with cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to support secure, scalable platforms.

Apply deep security knowledge to threat modeling, risk assessment, and security testing activities.

Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams, clearly articulating security concerns and proposed solutions.

Document architectures, configurations, procedures, and security controls thoroughly to support compliance and repeatability.

Stay updated with the latest security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps trends and recommend enhancements to practices and tooling.

Assess, prioritize, and manage security risks in alignment with business and mission objectives.

Ensure DevSecOps practices comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and organizational information security standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with:

Pipeline automation

GitLab

Kubernetes

DoD 8570-compliant certification (Security+ or CISSP).

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Top Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last five years and ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.

Desired Skills
The successful candidate may also have demonstrated experience with:

Ansible

Argo CD

Terraform

Helm

Kubernetes volume provisioning (for example, Rook or similar tooling)

Core Competencies
Strong technical expertise in coding, scripting, and automation tools; knowledge of cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

Deep understanding of security principles, practices, and tools; familiarity with threat modeling, risk assessment techniques, and security testing tools.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work closely with development, operations, and security teams and effectively articulate security concerns and solutions.

Continuous learning mindset with demonstrated commitment to staying updated on security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps trends.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve security and operational challenges promptly and effectively.

Automation-focused approach to integrating security into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and automated security testing solutions.

Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage security risks in alignment with business and mission objectives.

Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to information security and ability to ensure DevSecOps practices comply with these standards.

WORK SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION, AND OTHER DETAILS
Work Schedule: 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Work Arrangement: Onsite full-time at a designated facility in King of Prussia, PA.

Position Type: Full-Time, first shift.

Experience Level: Experienced Professional (Staff-level DevSecOps Engineer).

Career Area: Information Technology / DevSecOps / Space Security.

Business Unit Context: Space business unit supporting national security and space missions.

Relocation: Possible based on client policy.

Sign-On Bonus: Role includes an advertised sign-on bonus (up to approximately $10,000, subject to client policy).
