Job Title: DevSecOps Engineer Level II
Location: King of Prussia, PA
Type of Role: Full-Time, Onsite
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Global Edge Consultants, LLC is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer who is excited to incorporate new technologies into the software development process and own critical elements of secure development infrastructure. The successful candidate will maintain and enhance development environments, perform system administration tasks in support of engineering efforts, and operate confidently to customer specifications in a highly secure setting. Strong documentation skills are a plus, as this role will support clear, auditable DevSecOps and security practices across teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Maintain and improve development infrastructure supporting secure software delivery and mission requirements.

Perform system administration functions to support development and integration activities.

Develop, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on integrating security controls and automated testing.

Leverage automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI and similar) to efficiently embed security into build, test, and deploy workflows.

Work with cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes to support secure, scalable platforms.

Apply deep security knowledge to threat modeling, risk assessment, and security testing activities.

Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to identify and address security and operational challenges.

Document architectures, configurations, procedures, and security controls in a clear and maintainable manner.

Stay current on emerging security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps trends and recommend enhancements to practices and tooling.

Assess, prioritize, and manage security risks in alignment with business and mission objectives.

Ensure DevSecOps practices comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and organizational information security standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications
Security+ certification.

Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI (TS/SCI); must be a U.S. Citizen.

Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following automation technologies:

GitLab/Git

Pipeline automation

Automation and scripting

Kubernetes

Desired Skills
The successful candidate may also have demonstrated experience with:

ArgoCD

Ansible

Helm

Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments

Core Competencies
Strong technical expertise in coding, scripting, and automation tools; solid understanding of cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

Deep understanding of security principles, practices, and tools; familiarity with threat modeling, risk assessment techniques, and security testing tools.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work closely with development, operations, and security teams and clearly articulate security concerns and solutions.

Continuous learning mindset with demonstrated commitment to staying updated on security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps trends.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve security and operational challenges quickly and effectively.

Automation-focused approach to integrating security into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and automated security testing solutions.

Ability to assess, prioritize, and manage security risks in alignment with business and mission objectives.

Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to information security and ability to ensure DevSecOps practices comply with these standards.

WORK SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION, AND OTHER DETAILS
Work Schedule: 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Work Arrangement: Onsite full-time at a designated facility.

Position Type: Full-Time, first shift.

Experience Level: Experienced Professional.

Career Area: Information Technology / DevSecOps / Space Security.

Business Unit Context: Space and national security–focused DevSecOps environment.

Relocation: Possible based on client policy.
