Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer
Location: King of Prussia, PA
Type of Role: Full-Time, Onsite
Shift: 9x80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)

Position Overview
The Global Edge Consultants, LLC is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support advanced secure software development and infrastructure initiatives within a classified space and defense environment. This early–mid career role focuses on integrating security into CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and maintaining secure cloud and containerized platforms while working under an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on DevSecOps experience, deep security knowledge, and a passion for incorporating new technologies into modern software delivery processes.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Maintain and enhance secure development infrastructure in accordance with customer specifications and mission requirements.

Perform select system administration functions to support development efforts, environments, and tooling.

Develop and automate CI/CD pipelines, integrating security controls, automated testing, and compliance checks.

Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Packer, AWS CloudFormation) to provision and manage environments.

Work with Kubernetes and containerization technologies to deploy and orchestrate applications in secure environments.

Apply strong coding, scripting, and automation skills across DevSecOps toolchains and workflows.

Leverage tools such as Argo CD, Ansible, GitLab CI, and automated security testing solutions to embed security into pipelines.

Conduct threat modeling, risk assessment, and security testing activities to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.

Ensure DevSecOps practices and solutions comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational security standards.

Continuously monitor evolving security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps trends and recommend improvements.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, security, and program teams to solve complex security and operational challenges.

Minimum Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Active Final Top Secret security clearance required, with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Security+ or CISSP / DoD 8140 compliant certification.

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Packer, AWS CloudFormation)

Kubernetes

Containerization

Strong technical expertise in coding, scripting, and automation tools.

Knowledge of cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tooling.

U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.

Additional Qualifications
Experience with Helm, GitLab/Git, CI/CD, pipeline automation, and GitOps.

Deep understanding of security principles, practices, and tools, including threat modeling and risk assessment techniques.

Familiarity with automated security testing tools integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing security and operational challenges.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning in security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps best practices.

Experience Level
Early–Mid Career (Level 3) role; typically requires a BS degree and approximately 3+ years of professional experience in relevant DevSecOps, security, or software engineering roles.

Work Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits
Work Schedule: 9x80 (every other Friday off); onsite full-time at a designated facility in King of Prussia, PA.

Position Type: Full-Time.

Security Clearance: TS/SCI required; must be a U.S. Citizen.

Sign-On Bonus: New hires for this position may be eligible for a one-time lump sum sign-on bonus up to $8,000
