USMC System Analyst
Position Description:
The system analyst is assigned to support the USMC Readiness Branch Support Program. He or she will assist with forecast modeling, monthly readiness reporting, and help coordinate and improve readiness efforts.
Description of Duties:
• Maintain the readiness forecasting model with updated information.
• Run excursions on the forecasting model in support of senior leader decision support.
• Assist in the improvement of the forecasting model in both ease of use and automation.
• Incorporate other areas of reporting into the forecasting model and monthly readiness reporting.
• Support a realignment of headquarter operations and assist in training of personnel.
• Overall support of the Readiness program to include:
o Pulling data, creating reports, assisting with graphs and narratives
o Coordinate conferences and assist in preparation of presentations
o Conduct research and analysis
o Assist with design and development of readiness data briefing books
Desired Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related field.
Required Experience/Skills/Attributes:
• 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong database and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with forecast modeling and reporting.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe.
• Candidate will work closely with company, contractor personnel, and Government personnel to conduct operational activities and must work well in a team environment.
• Technically capable, fast learner, quality minded, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work independent of supervision.
• Detail-minded with an extraordinary work ethic.
Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:
• Prefer experience with Qlik, R, and Python.
• Familiarity with DRRS and the CRS.
• Prefer two or more years of experience with senior military staff.
