Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a to support a company focused on cybersecurity operations, engineering, and compliance for the Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). This position is in . The will oversee Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, lead incident response efforts, and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals while driving continuous improvements to enterprise security operations. • Lead and mentor the SOC team while ensuring 24/7 operational readiness and efficient day-to-day security operations.
• Direct the detection, analysis, investigation, and response to cybersecurity incidents, serving as the escalation point for high-priority threats.
• Oversee and optimize security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and threat monitoring solutions.
• Analyze network traffic, system logs, and threat intelligence to identify risks, improve detection capabilities, and strengthen incident response processes.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and leadership teams to communicate cyber risks, protect critical assets, and ensure compliance with security best practices.

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 4+ years leading a Security Operations Center (SOC) or security operations team.
• Strong experience with SIEM platforms, incident response, network defense, threat detection, vulnerability management, and security monitoring tools.
• Proven leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to mentor teams and present technical findings to executive leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Active DOE Q Clearance or Top Secret Clearance.

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000, depending on experience
