Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking experienced to support the Horizon program delivering mission-critical capabilities for the U.S. Space Force. This role supports Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power / Battle Management, Command, Control & Communications (BMC3) portfolios, focusing on both space-based and ground-based systems. Engineers will provide full lifecycle systems engineering support, helping design, integrate, and sustain systems that protect and defend national space assets.

- Provide systems engineering expertise across the full lifecycle from concept development through operations for space-based and ground-based systems and command & control services.
- Support development, integration, testing, production, and sustainment activities across complex space and ground architectures.
- Develop operational concepts (CONOPS), system requirements, and architectural designs.
- Perform requirements analysis, allocation, and flowdown across system components.
- Support system architecture evolution and conduct trade studies and verification planning.
- Apply model-based systems engineering (MBSE), modeling, simulation, and analysis where applicable.
- Support configuration management of the technical baseline, including documentation and change control processes.
- Identify and manage program risks, supporting mitigation strategies and decision-making.
- Provide technical oversight of development efforts across traditional and Agile acquisition environments.
- Collaborate with engineering, program management, and government stakeholders to ensure mission success.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
- 18+ years (Bachelors) or 16+ years (Masters) of experience in systems engineering, systems integration, or related roles.
- Experience supporting and command & control architectures.
- Experience with , including design, integration, and test.
- Familiarity with .

- Strong understanding of system architecture, requirements development, and verification processes.
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Must possess an in-scope with SCI eligibility.
- Must be willing to obtain and consent to a polygraph.
- Pay range: $160,000 - $190,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
