Torch Technologies is seeking a to join a team to assist the 950th at Robins AFB, GA. The Government Special Security Officer (GSSO) is responsible for the oversight, management, and implementation of all security disciplines for assigned Special Access Programs (SAPs) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities. The GSSO ensures strict compliance with departmental and national-level security directives, acting as the primary security advisor to program leadership and ensuring the integrity of critical national security information.
Program Security Management
- Manage daily security operations for SAP and SCI facilities in accordance with DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4, DoDM 5105.21, and relevant Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
- Conduct security reviews, annual self-inspections, and vulnerability assessments to ensure continuous compliance and operational readiness.
- Develop, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Security Classification Guides (SCGs), and Program Protection Plans (PPPs).
Personnel & Physical Security
- Process Program Access Requests (PARs), manage indoctrinations, and maintain accurate personnel security (PERSEC) databases (e.g., DISS, JADE).
- Oversee physical security (PHYSEC) operations for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs), ensuring strict adherence to ICD 705 standards.
Security Education & Training
- Conduct initial, annual, and event-driven security briefings, foreign travel briefings, and debriefings for cleared personnel.
- Administer a comprehensive Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program tailored to specific program threats, insider threats, and vulnerabilities.
Incident Response & Information Security
- Investigate security infractions and violations, drafting preliminary inquiries and reporting incidents to the Cognizant Security Authority (CSA).
- Execute spill response procedures, coordinate damage assessments, and manage the secure transmission, storage, and destruction of classified materials.
- Manage access control, intrusion detection systems, hardware accreditation, and facility co-utilization agreements (CUAs).
- U.S. Citizenship
- A Bachelor's degree in information security, computer information systems, or a related field, such as IT, science, or engineering is required.
- DoW 8140 Certification: Must hold a current certification that meets the intermediate technical support role requirement, such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, GSEC, or GICSP.
- Up to 3 years' security experience including directly managing or supporting SAP/SCI environments,
- Comprehensive understanding of the NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 series, DoDM 5105.21, and ICD 704/705.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to brief senior military/civilian leadership and conduct rigorous compliance audits.
- Active TS/SCI required at hire. Must be eligible for SAP access; Counterintelligence (CI) or Full-Scope Polygraph may be required.
- CDSE SAP Security Professional Certification (SAPPC) or Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) highly preferred.
