Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Equipment Specialist, Armament - Senior located at Warner Robins AFB, GA.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Must have an active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
- 8 years RE on supported weapon system
- Knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing.
- Ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and process related to their area of expertise.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Experience with small caliber munitions and maintenance documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct technical support for missiles, bomb racks, aircraft/SOF guns systems, small arms, launchers, associated support equipment and containers.
- Assist munitions/weapons field-level personnel in all matters of repair, sustainment, and deficiency resolution issues and provide immediate responses to interface activation issues.
- Application and support of configuration management, including supporting Configuration Control Board processes for respective programs;
- Management of and assistance with deficiency reporting, investigation, and resolution;
- Support of modification management for respective weapon systems;
- Documentation of maintenance data;
- Support equipment recommendation data;
- Establishment of new items and cataloguing;
- Support development, revision and test of demilitarization procedures to ensure critical technologies are protected;
- Class V munitions management;
- Software management; and Support mishap investigations.
