About the Job
The Network Engineer III will support the C2BMC program and will be responsible for serving as a Network Development Engineer supporting build outs and deployments to the operational environment as necessary.
Location
Colorado Springs, CO
The position is based at a LM facility in Colorado Springs, CO in the long-term, however, this role must be able to occasionally travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, Europe, etc., to execute job duties such as deployments.
The Work You’ll Do
In this role the candidate will serve as a Network Development Engineer supporting build out and deployments to the operational environment as necessary. The candidate will work within an agile scrum team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements. Candidate will be a primary Network Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program. Candidate will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network to operational sites. Candidate will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Active Top-Secret (TS) Clearance required to start
- Active IAT Level II Certification (Security+ or equivalent) required to start
- This position requires a CCNA or JNCIA certificate
- Must be a proven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies
- Must have an understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF
- Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Must have firewall experience – especially Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto
- Must have experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs
- Must have hands on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment
- Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio
- Must thrive and do your best work in a collaborative and agile environment
- Must understand standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts
Preferred
- Familiarization with virtualization technologies – NFV, SDWAN, VMware, VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, vSAN, and Aria (Desired)
- Experience with network automation using Ansible (Desired)
- Prior C2BMC experience (Desired)
Salary Range: $100,000 – $148,000
