Job Description
- You will provide overall management of acquisition and life cycle logistics/maintenance management activities for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
- You will ensure effective, efficient planning, budgeting, support, integration, and phasing of all FMS efforts.
- You will be responsible for resourcing, planning, budgeting, support and coordination of all aspects relative to the support equipment program's acquisition and/or upgrade of products and/or services for the FMS customers.
- You will make acquisition and sustainment recommendations concerning FMS program support equipment contracting strategies.
- You will direct logistics activities to provide initial and follow-on logistics support for FMS programs.
- You will lead personnel and organizational resources within a branch or division, including assigning work, setting priorities, mentoring staff, fostering collaboration, and ensuring mission accomplishment in support of FMS logistics and acquisition.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This is a Non-Key Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) position and requires a DoD SCW Certification. Selectee must obtain and maintain certification within prescribed timeframes. SCW level required: SC4B3-Expert.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12/13) or pay band (NM-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Incorporating knowledge of advanced concepts, principles, and practices of all aspects of the broad field of logistics management. 2) Serving as an expert in the full range of system integrated logistics support, functioning with senior management across the FMS Program Office. 3) Demonstrating skill and personal art in exercising diplomacy and tact in negotiations, conversations, correspondence, etc. especially when diverse and opposing points of views, goals or objectives are expressed. 4) Utilizing expert knowledge of FMS, DoW, other services, organizations, policies, and procedures related to life cycle logistics support management.
