Job Description

Sabel Systems has an immediate opening for an experienced Vice President of Business Development, Air Force. This position will lead the formulation and execution of strategic and business development activities within the Department of Defense market. This position will take an active role cultivating customers and partners and developing and executing new programs and ventures within allocated funds.
The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for developing and executing Sabel Systems' growth strategy. The candidate will work with customers and industry partners and draw upon the broader capabilities of Sabel Systems to be successful.
Leverage your technical background to ensure business decisions can be vetted, and solutions are presented to potential customers. Use strategic and tactical capabilities and leadership in opportunity capture and business strategy/vision as well as an ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong customer partnerships and represents Sabel Systems to the customer
- Formalize and execute a Go-To-Market Strategy for current and R&D products
- Advises management on growth strategies and management of resources for future program procurement
- Be the driving force to strengthen our customer intimacy and strategic growth
- Enhance our industry partnership while expanding the Sabel Systems brand
- Identifies, recommends, wins new business opportunities
- Develop short and long-range forecasts, sales plans, and marketing plans
- Performs opportunity/competitive analytics and research to support growth
- Advises CGO, CPTO, and Contracting to ensure proper customers' needs/targets alignment
- Creates a culture of success and ongoing business and personal goal achievement
- Up to 50% trave
- US Citizen with an active DOD security clearance
- Proven year-over-year sales growth withing the Air Force industry
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience with technology products, solutions and services
- Proven experience in driving organic growth within the DoD industry markets
- Proven, relevant and current industry experience and/or operational experience with the military communities
- Demonstrated business acumen and experience with DoD acquisition
- Knowledge and experience in obtaining a GSA MAS/GWAC schedules/vehicles
- Ability to travel to various Air Force bases, company locations, and customer events 25%-50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of Air Force organizational structures, missions, acquisition processes, and budgeting cycles with an existing network across key Air Force stakeholders
- Prior experience in a small-to-midsize government contractor environment
- Able to provide a Win Sheet of detailed business development successful wins in the Air Force sector

Compensation will be determined in partnership with the Hiring Manager and may vary based on factors such as contract and labor category alignment, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications or licenses, and geographic location.
