Summary:

The Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, operation, maintenance, and support of enterprise network infrastructure and Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) systems. This role provides Level 3 (L3) support for network operations, encryption devices, and secure communications systems while ensuring network availability, security, and compliance with DoD standards and policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, operate, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure and KMI systems.
  • Serve as an Alternate KMI Account Manager and support Key Management Operating Account Management (KOAM) activities.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network encryption devices and secure communications equipment.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, and security issues.
  • Support routers, switches, firewalls, and network management systems.
  • Configure and maintain network services including DHCP, 802.1X, MAC Authentication Bypass (MAB), and TFTP.
  • Support secure voice communication systems and inline network encryptors.
  • Utilize network monitoring and management tools, including SolarWinds, to identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems administration, and engineering teams to ensure secure and reliable network operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, organizational, and security policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in network administration and IT infrastructure support.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience serving as a Local Element supporting a KMI account.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
  • Experience installing, operating, and configuring network encryption equipment and secure communications systems.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IP networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network services.
  • Knowledge of network technologies including T1, DS3, Fiber/Optical, DSL, Ethernet, and related transport technologies.
  • Experience with SolarWinds, DHCP, MAB, 802.1X, TFTP, and secure voice systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Key Management Operating Account Management (KOAM) Course required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent) required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required baseline and technical certifications supporting Level 3 (L3) Network Operations.


  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
  • Experience supporting large Federal Government, DoD, or Department of Navy environments.
  • Familiarity with network security architectures and encrypted communications systems.
  • Experience supporting classified network environments.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and enterprise infrastructure operations.

Salary Disclosure:

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
