Summary:
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining the organization's enterprise architecture framework, ensuring business, data, application, and technology solutions align with mission objectives and strategic goals. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing architectural guidance, technology roadmaps, and governance to support modernization, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives.

Summary:
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining the organization's enterprise architecture framework, ensuring business, data, application, and technology solutions align with mission objectives and strategic goals. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing architectural guidance, technology roadmaps, and governance to support modernization, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps, standards, and governance processes.
- Align business, data, application, security, and technology architectures with organizational objectives.
- Evaluate current and future-state architectures and recommend modernization initiatives.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical oversight for major programs and projects.
- Develop enterprise architecture artifacts, reference architectures, and technology standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical leadership to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, security, and mission effectiveness.
- Ensure architecture solutions support interoperability, integration, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Document architecture decisions, technical recommendations, and implementation plans.
- Support portfolio planning, investment decisions, and technology governance activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of ten (10) years of IT experience, including five (5) years in enterprise, solution, or systems architecture.
- Active Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
- Experience developing and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks and governance processes.
- Strong understanding of business, application, data, infrastructure, and security architectures.
- Experience with system integration, cloud technologies, modernization initiatives, and enterprise-scale solutions.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, FEAF, DoDAF).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive, business, and technical audiences.
- Experience supporting Federal Government, DoD, DoN, or Law Enforcement organizations.
- Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures, microservices, APIs, and event-driven solutions.
- Knowledge of data architecture, cybersecurity architecture, and digital transformation strategies.
- Experience developing business cases, technology roadmaps, and strategic plans.
- Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and modern software development practices.
- Enterprise architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF) preferred.
