In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities:
→ Lockheed Martin Operations is looking for a dynamic and industrious Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Director.
→ As the GSE Director, you will be charged with standing up and leading a multi-functional workforce supporting the enterprise programs with Mechanical and Electrical Ground Support Equipment and associated Software solutions.
→ This involves managing all aspects of GSE from proposal through engineering and on to delivery and operations support.
→ The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of what it takes to support the manufacturing, assembly, testing, transportation, and handling of our LM Space Products.
→ The GSE Director will be responsible for strategy, staffing, execution and affordability for all Ground Support Equipment across LM Space including ensuring strong ties between E&T, Operations, Ignite and the Line of Business Programs.
→ Some travel (~10-15%) will be required.
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in either Denver, CO or Sunnyvale, CA. , and be expected to work in the office .
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• 10+ years of highly effective leadership experience with a proven ability to manage through complex technical and programmatic environments.
• Project and/or Program management / leadership experience with demonstrated ability to meet cost, schedule and technical objectives.
• Experience with Ground Support Equipment, ATLO (Assembly, Test, & Launch Operations) and/or Production Operations.
• Experience supporting proposals including developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and staffing projections.
• Experience interfacing with company executives, customers and suppliers.
• Experience as a leader of leaders.
