Obstetric Tech
This role is a part‑time W‑2 position with MedAllyon. To help you determine whether this opportunity aligns with your experience and expectations, please review the requirements below.
• Requires a current and valid U.S. Registered Nurse (RN) license; some roles may also require state ‑ specific RN licensure depending on the work location.
• Requires a current and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the contract (for example, U.S. citizens or individuals holding valid work authorization).
• MedAllyon part ‑ time employment agreements are one ‑ year terms (renewable annually) and require a commitment to cover at least one shift per week throughout the agreement period.
• This position is not eligible for MedAllyon Total Rewards benefits and does not accrue paid leave, except where required by applicable law.
What You Will Do
Maintains a safe environment by following standard precautions, monitors patient condition and promptly reports changes to the RN, assists with patient transport, positioning, and stabilization, prepares the OR room, equipment, and supplies for procedures, performs scrub duties by anticipating surgeon needs and handling instruments and specimens, assists the physician within scope of competency, ensures all instruments and equipment are functional and properly sterilized, cleans and reassembles instruments for sterilization, safely operates sterilization and OR equipment while reporting any issues, supports departmental quality and performance improvement initiatives, maintains required competencies and completes validations, and utilizes systems and documentation tools effectively.
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years recent OR scrub experience (within last 3 years) across multiple procedures
• BLS
• NCCT (TS_C) or NBSTSA (CST)
