Blu Omega is seeking experienced MUMPS Developers to support a federal healthcare program. This role operates remotely within a government healthcare environment and is responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise healthcare applications. The position requires a strong background in MUMPS development and experience supporting healthcare systems, preferably with VistA or similar platforms. Primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining MUMPS-based applications, troubleshooting issues, and integrating with modern technologies to modernize legacy systems.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain MUMPS-based applications and software systems
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and production issues
- Develop enhancements and new functionality for healthcare and enterprise applications
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, and front-end developers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop and maintain integrations between MUMPS applications and modern web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems
- Apply software design principles, architectural patterns, and best practices to build scalable and maintainable solutions
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and sprint planning activities
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing across the team
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on MUMPS software development experience
- Strong understanding of software development principles, system design, and application architecture
- Experience designing and implementing APIs and integrating MUMPS applications with external systems
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams
- Familiarity with Jira or similar Agile project management tools
- Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and communicate effectively with technical teams and end users
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or other required federal clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting VistA or other healthcare systems
- Experience integrating MUMPS applications with modern web applications and user interfaces
- Familiarity with healthcare information systems and clinical applications
- Experience with software modernization or legacy application modernization initiatives
- Knowledge of SAFe Agile methodologies or Agile certifications
Compensation
Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
