Position Summary:
The Site Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing day-to-day operations at an assigned site, with specific responsibility for fleet management and Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) operations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of mission support activities in alignment with V2X and U.S. Department of War (DoW) requirements.
The Site Operations Coordinator serves as a central integrator between site leadership, fleet and JCR operators, functional support teams, and customer representatives to maintain operational readiness, optimize asset utilization, and support mission success.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Site Operations Management
• Coordinate daily site operations to meet contract, mission, and performance requirements.
• Prioritize and schedule work across functional areas (facilities, logistics, maintenance, training support, admin, or other site-specific functions).
• Monitor operational performance, identify issues, and recommend/implement corrective actions.
• Support the development and implementation of site-level plans, SOPs, and work instructions.
Fleet Coordination
• Manage day-to-day fleet operations, including scheduling, dispatch, allocation, and return of vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with internal maintenance staff and/or external vendors; track work orders and downtime.
• Maintain accurate fleet inventory and documentation (registrations, inspections, licenses, maintenance records).
• Monitor fleet utilization, readiness, and costs; recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and availability.
• Enforce safe driving practices, vehicle inspection requirements, and compliance with applicable transportation regulations and contract requirements.
JCR Operations Oversight
• Oversee daily Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) operations, ensuring systems are configured, monitored, and maintained to provide reliable, secure, and timely digital command-and-control communications.
• Coordinate with communications, IT, and operations personnel to support JCR installation, troubleshooting, and updates.
• Ensure JCR usage, data handling, and security practices comply with applicable policies, security standards, and customer directives.
• Track JCR system status, availability, and incident resolution; support reporting and after-action reviews related to JCR-enabled missions.
Planning & Coordination
• Coordinate site activities, movement of personnel and equipment, and mission support tasks, integrating fleet and JCR requirements into operational plans.
• Serve as a primary coordination point between site operations, fleet, communications, safety, and other functional stakeholders.
• Assist with resource planning (personnel, vehicles, equipment, materials) in support of mission schedules and surge requirements.
Leadership & Personnel Oversight
• Provide day-to-day direction to assigned staff (e.g., drivers, dispatchers, operations clerks, JCR operators, or other support personnel as applicable).
• Assign tasks, set priorities, and verify timely completion of work.
• Support onboarding, training, and cross-training of personnel on fleet procedures, JCR operations, and site SOPs.
• Provide input to performance evaluations and support recognition and corrective actions as required.
Compliance, Safety & Quality
• Enforce adherence to safety, security, and environmental requirements for site operations, vehicle operations, and JCR usage.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, DoW/DoD regulations, contract requirements, and host nation rules (if applicable).
• Support audits, inspections, and quality reviews; coordinate corrective actions and track closure.
• Maintain required logs, reports, and records in accordance with contractual and regulatory standards.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational effectiveness in site operations, fleet management, and JCR support.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational readiness, fleet utilization, and JCR availability.
• Contribute to lessons learned, after action reviews (AARs), and implementation of best practices.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Experience working with vehicle fleets (light/heavy vehicles, material handling equipment, or similar).
• Familiarity with military or defense communications systems; exposure to JCR or similar digital C2 systems is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Effective leadership and team coordination skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with customers, leadership, and staff at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn fleet/joint operations management tools and systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance if required by the contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting DoW/DoD, defense contractor operations, or military installation/base operations.
• Direct experience with JCR (or similar systems such as FBCB2, JBC-P) in an operational environment.
• Experience with fleet management systems, CMMS, or equivalent asset tracking tools.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, DOT, transport safety, information security).
• Prior experience in OCONUS, contingency, or austere environments (if applicable to the contract).
Physcial Qualifications:
• Work is primarily performed in an office environment with frequent visits to motor pools, operational areas, and/or communications/JCR-equipped platforms.
• May require occasional travel to other sites or customer locations.
• May involve standing, walking, climbing in/out of vehicles, and light lifting in support of operations.
• Must be able to meet any medical, physical, and deployment-related requirements if the position supports OCONUS or contingency operations (as applicable).
Education & Experience:
(2 +BA/BS or 1+MA/MS) or (4 +AA) or (6+No Degree)
2 to 5+ years of experience in site operations, logistics, fleet coordination/management.
