Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering is seeking to hire an with hands-on experience maintaining vertical lift aircraft - specifically CH-47 Chinook and AH-64 Apache platforms. This position is located in Qualified candidates will design, develop, deliver, and evaluate technical learning solutions tailored to military helicopter maintenance personnel. You will work with customers and internal stakeholders to identify training needs, create course content and media, instruct advanced maintenance courses, and measure training effectiveness based on customer feedback to ensure operational readiness and flight safety.
You will primarily support our Vertical Lift Aircraft contracts with the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. There may also be opportunities to assist with Air Dominance (tactical aircraft) and Mobility, Bombers, Surveillance Aircraft.
- Support identification and definition of customer technical training needs and requirements.
- Participate in determining training objectives, course structure, instructional design, content, and appropriate delivery methods.
- Design and develop lesson plans, classroom instruction, and hands-on maintenance exercises focused on rotorcraft systems, transmissions, rotor assemblies, engines, avionics, hydraulic systems, and weapon-system integration.
- Use specialized authoring and media tools to research, develop, and modify training materials (presentations, job aids, technical illustrations, interactive media, and maintenance practice scenarios).
- Deliver instructor-led, simulator-assisted, and blended learning sessions to maintenance personnel.
- Support development and documentation of training standards, technical training specifications, task performance standards, and curricula aligned with customer requirements and safety protocols.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, instructor observations, customer feedback, and operational performance data; recommend and implement continuous improvements.
- Coordinate with engineering, logistics, quality assurance, flight operations, and customer teams to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to maintenance procedures and airworthiness requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of vertical lift systems, maintenance best practices, safety procedures, and instructional technologies.
- 3+ years of experience with CH-47 Airframes and Mechanical Systems.
- 3+ years of experience maintaining CH-47 avionics and electrical systems.
- 3+ years of experience with Vertical Lift Platforms (Cargo/Utility, Tiltrotor, and/or Attack).
- 3+ years of experience with aerospace technical publications.
- 3+ years of experience using visualization tools and software to present insights.
- Experienced understanding of aircraft systems, flight operations, and airworthiness requirements.
- 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience performing aircraft maintenance.
- Prior experience creating and delivering maintenance training for military vertical lift aviation programs.
- Demonstrated instructional or mentoring experience presenting complex technical content to diverse learner populations.
- Familiarity with instructional design fundamentals and basic training development processes.
