Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an experienced to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Software organization. This role is without a hybrid option but can be located on site in .
In this role you will lead several teams as they design, develop, integrate and test software applications and systems for our end-user customers and businesses. Specifically, you will be responsible for delivering high quality software from multiple teams. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Systems Test and DevSecOps, in an Agile software development environment. You will analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle including design, implementation, integration, and delivery of high quality software products to our customers
• Operate in a real-time embedded development environment working with object-oriented programming, design patterns, and safety critical software
• Work in Agile Scrum teams to develop software products for multiple software baselines
• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems
• Own the team's performance and communicate with senior program leadership and customers about progress, budget, any risks or blockers that may exist, and your solutions around them
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 10 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with 8 related engineering experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
• Experience with at least one of the following programming or scripting languages: Java, Python, C++
• Familiar with Architecting, Designing, Implementing, Integrating, Verifying and Qualifying Safety-Critical Embedded Real Time Software running on various RTOS (VxWorks, INTEGRITY, Real Time Embedded Linux)
• Familiar with Static & Dynamic Code Analysis Tools and Fuzzing Tools such as: Coverity, Fortify, AND/OR SonarQube
• Familiar with Software Change Control, Change Management, and CI/CD tools
• Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Current Control Account Manager (CAM) certification
Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
