Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Lead multidisciplinary system development initiatives and architect integrated solutions spanning multiple subsystems
Drive derivation, decomposition, allocation, and traceability of system requirements across the development lifecycle
Define and document system concepts of operation, resolving conflicting requirements in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders
Plan and lead technical milestone reviews, overseeing system integration, verification, and validation activities
Identify and manage technical risks, developing mitigation strategies to keep programs on track
Mentor and develop systems engineering talent while contributing to corporate SE policy, process, and continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree; Master's + 13 years also accepted)
Typically 15+ years of related systems engineering experience
Demonstrated ability to drive multidisciplinary system development and architect solutions integrating multiple subsystems
Advanced expertise across the systems development lifecycle, including requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation
Expertise in systems architecture development and system integration, verification, and validation (V&V)
Proven ability to contribute to corporate Systems Engineering policy and process definition
Strong track record communicating with technical and specialty SME engineers to drive SE products
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field
Extensive experience with Requirements Management and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools/frameworks — DOORS, CAMEO EA, Rhapsody, MATLAB, SysML
Strong understanding of spacecraft systems (hardware and software subsystems)
Solid grasp of project management methodologies, including risk management and technical performance tracking
Understanding of technical baseline and configuration management
Experience leading major projects and mentoring junior/mid-level engineers
INCOSE certification or standards experience
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; adaptable to fast-paced environments
Clearance Requirements:
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required at time of hire

On-Site — 100%, no remote/hybrid flexibility

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time, operate standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, and telephone, and occasionally move about the work environment.
