Job Description



  • You will work complex projects and tasks for implementing new technologies into the current environment while ensuring interoperability of dependent IT services and information systems.
  • You will analyze performance and event management indicators and make configuration changes to optimize and improve functionality of IT services and information systems.
  • You will create and maintain system documentation in accordance with security policies and standards in support of managed systems and applications.
  • You will conduct analysis and develop solutions to resolve complex issues affecting IT services and information systems.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (451,421,541), proficiency level (INTERMEDIATE) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.


You are required to have information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following six competencies, as defined:

  • In addition to your experience demonstrating the nine competencies above, you are required to have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise IT systems, databases, backup and recovery solutions, and system documentation while complying with security requirements.
