The successful candidate will bring practical experience in geospatial data production and quality assurance, working under general direction to deliver accurate and reliable outputs that support Foundation Geospatial capabilities.

Candidates should hold a relevant vocational or tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience, with professional experience in GIS or a related field, along with the ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform geospatial data production, capture, and maintenance activities in accordance with Defence standards and specifications.
  • Conduct quality assurance and validation of spatial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Produce cartographic products and geospatial outputs to meet defined requirements.
  • Support the maintenance and management of Foundation Geospatial datasets within enterprise systems.

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work under general direction, follow established processes, communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, and maintain compliance with standards and policies, with Defence or government experience and the ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance desirable.

This position requires a practitioner with good stereo acuity to support geomatic/photogrammetry workflows and geospatial imaging systems. The role may involve analysis and interpretation of stereoscopic imagery within GIS environments to produce accurate spatial data and mapping products. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound visual depth perception, proficiency in geospatial tools, and attention to detail when performing data production tasks.

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work under general direction, follow established processes, communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, and maintain compliance with standards and policies, with Defence or government experience and the ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance desirable.
