- Works across multiple languages and platforms, designs and implements architectural decisions, applies design patterns, cloud-native services, IAAS/PAAS/SAAS basics, and secure coding practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
- Performs complex tasks under limited guidance, integrates and troubleshoots distributed or cloud services, and optimizes performance and scalability.
- Sets a high bar for code quality, multitasks effectively, owns and corrects errors quickly, and drives continuous improvement.
- Leads code reviews, mentors teammates, and translates technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Works directly with clients without oversight, writes technical RFP content when needed, nurtures client relationships, and manages routine client concerns.
AIS is seeking a Power Platform Engineer to support a critical federal customer, leading the design and delivery of enterprise Power Platform solutions. This position is primarily onsite with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule and requires an active Top Secret clearance.
- Build and maintain Power Apps (Canvas and/or ModelDriven) to support business processes and user workflows.
- Develop, test, and optimize cloud flows in Power Automate to automate business tasks and integrations.
- Design and configure Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, and views to support application needs.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes or improvements.
- Create Power BI reports or dashboards, or support data modeling as needed.
- Participate in solution packaging, deployments between environments, and basic ALM activities.
- Write technical documentation, user guides, and configuration notes for developed solutions.
- Follow established development standards, governance practices, and security guidelines.
- Hands-on experience building solutions with Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-Driven).
- Proficiency with Power Automate for developing cloud flows and process automations.
- Working knowledge of Dataverse, data modeling concepts, and building relationships between tables.
- Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Power Fx and basic JavaScript for extending app logic.
- Ability to build dashboards and reports using Power BI (bonus for model design experience).
- Understanding of solution packaging, environment usage, and basic ALM practices.
- Experience consuming REST APIs and working with connectors.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue, and Node.js
- Experience with Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) or desire to learn advanced extensibility.
- Exposure to Azure services such as Logic Apps, Functions, or API Management.
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker (PL-100) or Developer Associate (PL-400).
At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
