• Review contract modifications and assist with updating project structures, funding ceilings, labor categories, and billing rates as applicable.
• Assist with preparing and reviewing customer invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract requirements.
• Support month-end close activities by reviewing project transactions, labor postings, revenue recognition, and project cost allocations.
• Prepare and distribute recurring financial reports, including budget vs. actual analyses, labor utilization, project forecasts, and other operational metrics.
• Track project funding, contract ceilings, and burn rates, notifying management of potential funding limitations or overruns.
• Assist with project forecasting, revenue projections, backlog reporting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure project financial data complies with company policies, government contract requirements, and applicable FAR and DCAA guidelines.
• Research and resolve project accounting discrepancies in collaboration with Accounting, Contracts, Payroll, and Program Management.
• Support internal and external audits by providing project financial documentation and explanations as requested.
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, reporting accuracy, and financial controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project financial analysis, project controlling, project accounting, or a similar role.
• Government contracting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting cost-reimbursable, fixed-price, and time-and-material contracts preferred.
• Working knowledge of FAR, DCAA compliance requirements, and government contract billing practices preferred.
• Experience with Unanet ERP is highly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and financial analysis.
