This position will support an agile organization implementing new software capabilities within the platform as defined by a capability roadmap. The organization is responsible for the full lifecycle of software development including requirements, design, implementation, and testing for mission systems. This software engineer position will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software tests that meets industry, customer, and safety standards for the platform while adhering to strict government regulations. We are looking for software engineers with experience particularly in automated testing environments. This position will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of testing solutions within the program. You will be tasked with designing, developing, and documenting software testing solutions that meet the program's requirements while adhering to best practices in software engineering.


  • Develop and support the maturation of software testing solutions needed to robustly implement Open Mission Systems (OMS) software architecture
  • Design, implement, and optimize AI/ML models and Computer Vision algorithms to facilitate the automated testing of avionic Pilot/Vehicle Interfaces (PVI)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback for the development of testing tools
  • Develop and implement innovative avionics software testing frameworks and tools, ensuring quality and technical excellence
  • Designs, develops, tests, debugs and maintains software that is integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry, customer, safety and regulation standards
  • Integrates embedded software with hardware components
  • Tests and debugs software for embedded devices and systems
  • Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development and hardware technologies





  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start may be required)
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 or more years' of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Experience with Go, Java, C/C++, Rust, or Python



  • : 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • : 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • : 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong verbal and written skills, teaming skills, technical skills, and integration skills
  • Experience in avionics systems integration with systems engineering processes and procedures
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) software build pipeline techniques and software factories such as DevOps & DevSecOps
  • Experience with the verification of Open Mission Systems (OMS) software architecture and avionics displays
  • Experience or familiarity with industry tools or development techniques such as the following; Embedded System Software, C, C++, C#, Rust, Linux, VxWorks, Containers, Git, CI/CD DevSecOps, and/or Cameo
  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) or tools Cameo/MSOSA

  • $104,550 - $141,450
  • $126,650 - $171,350
