The Leidos Corporation is seeking a Material Program Manager to support a program in the WMA. The individual will provide inventory control support and analysis for all material requirements. This position requires the use of problem solving techniques to address unique inventory requests that impact critical support requirements.
We are excited to announce an opening for a Material Planner in our Springfield, VA location! This person will be responsible for supporting the material acquisition plans and must have the ability to work with the programs stakeholders in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish. Individual will be interfacing with Vendors, Logistics, Receiving, Materials Management, and Strategic Sourcing to ensure program milestones are met.
Works with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements to include using a credit card for micro purchases. • Works with programs in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish. • • Works across multiple government and Leidos systems in a fast-paced environment • Maintains reports and monitors material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences. • Coordinates forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership. • Provides advice to programs as to proper routes to acquire materials that will be to the greatest benefit of the program. • Analyzes material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, acquisition planning • Engages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy. • Manages production and delivery schedules
Typically requires a BA degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience in a similar role executing on time deliveries of hardware and software; interacting with key suppliers; dealing with the financial impacts of supplier decisions on programs; and managing, tracking, and auditing existing hardware and software inventories. Experience supporting procurement system compliance, materials management, prime contract flow downs, supplier quality, and supplier teaming to achieve successful results. Experience working with price analysis methodologies. Experience working with Commercial Supplier Agreements (CSAs) and End User License Agreements (EULAs). Experience with IBM Maximo or Deltek

- Candidates with experience in procurement AND/OR a combination of certifications, training, education, or military experience will be considered in lieu of degree. • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required to be considered • Microsoft Office knowledge and skills • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously • Attention to detail • Good organization and communication skills. Basic Excel experience (Create workbooks, create formulas, applying formats, sort, and filter data, etc…)
- Prior inventory control experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate processes and procedures to customer base
- Possess outstanding customer service skills in order to meet high demand requirements
- Ability to travel between local sites on occasion to coordinate activities.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and apply that understanding to daily procurement and program support requirements
- Self-starter that can establish priorities, resolve immediate issues, and coordinate with program manager on complex problems
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members and customer
- Strong oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver responses to customers’ questions in a clear and concise manner
