Job Description

Duties

  • You will provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Life Cycle Management (LCM) in the area of facilities, safety, supply and vehicle management.
  • You will develop logistics strategies and identify specific support requirements to ensure that funding, manpower, vehicles, facilities, supply and services are part of a comprehensive MCD logistics plan.
  • You will supervise/provide safety training and conduct inspections covering facilities, vehicles, motorcycles, and personnel.
  • You will collaborate with MCRC headquarters, Recruiting Regions, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Regional Contracting Office at Parris Island.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Overseeing facilities operations and non-tactical vehicle program utilizing demonstrated knowledge of logistics management principles; 2) Managing and analyzing data in facility systems such as Real Facility Management Information System or equivalent property/facility management systems; 3) Preparing reports, conducting data analysis, and coordinating communications utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to complete daily documentation, presentations, and decision support tasks; 4) Leading teams, mentoring personnel, and fostering professional development within logistics operations; 5) Ensuring mission readiness and organizational growth utilizing demonstrated leadership qualities such as decision making, conflict resolution, and effective communication; and 6) Building relationships and establishing rapport with external agencies, stakeholders, and partner organizations to enhance coordination and resource integration.
