Job Description

Duties

  • You will serve as an Assistant Program Manager (APM) and assist the Program Manager (PM) with the development and execution of MCM USVs and associated payload delivery systems that integrate multiple payloads into the craft.
  • You will ensure the planning, direction, and success of the MCM USV program (ACAT II), including development of comprehensive program plans (i.e. definitive task statements, basis of estimates, resource requirements, and integrated master schedules).
  • You will provide technical and fiscal oversight of multiple contractors and government laboratories.
  • You will manage competitive contract development, implementation, and management.
  • You will develop, maintain, and manage multi-year budget profiles and ensure timely financial execution.
  • You will develop and analyze engineering and program management documents.

  • This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA).
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in the long-range acquisition planning, technological integration, or strategic stakeholder liaison initiatives of complex naval modernization programs or resource strategies to establish innovative operational precedents, resolve high-level programmatic disputes, or secure long-term defense capability efficiencies within an organization.

Additional information

This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-04 encompasses the GS-14 and GS-15 grade levels. This position has a control point; thus, the salary range for this position is capped at GS-15, step 05 which is equivalent to $191,850. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched.
