Network Engineer

The Engineer will serve as an expert and project leader on a dynamic and experienced team responsible for engineering, design, deployment, and maintenance of network systems. The ideal candidate for this position will possess both extensive network engineering experience to be able to set up Cisco Switches and Routers, do network design for a site, install it, brief it to an engineering review board. The network engineer MUST have experience with true design and engineering. We want people who can do the work we currently have, PLUS people who can raise the bar on our technology and reduce O&M via automation.

The Network Engineer should be familiar with network design, testing, installation, verification, and sustainment activities. The Engineer should have experience with switches, routers, firewalls, encryption devices, copper and fiber based connectivity, and understand various Ethernet standards and L2/L3 protocols to accomplish tasks. Knowledge of and experience with Cisco products is required. The position requires excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. The individual will be expected to provide mentoring and leadership to junior engineers on program. The candidate must be able to work in a high energy environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
