Job Description
Position Responsibilities
• Review and interpret inventory item management codes within NESSS.
• Analyze configuration data and item usage to ensure accuracy and compliance with Coast Guard standards.
• Develop, review, and update Sector allowance levels for material within NESSS.
• Identify terminal or obsolete material and recommend appropriate disposal actions.
• Validate Coast Guard material demand within NESSS to support operational readiness.
• Assess and recommend changes to Coast Guard Sector allowances based on operational requirements and data analysis.
• Collaborate with the SFLC Asset Logistics Division and other Coast Guard personnel to resolve logistics and supply issues.
• Request, review, and interpret SAS allowance reports to support allowance decisions and continuous process improvement.
• Provide expert guidance, training, and support to Coast Guard personnel on logistics data management, NESSS usage, and supply best practices.
• Serve as a technical resource for resolving complex logistics and supply challenges.
• Ensure work aligns with applicable Coast Guard policies and procedures.
• Provide subject matter expertise on supply and finance system requirements for data system modernization projects.

Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience with Coast Guard logistics data elements.
• Demonstrated experience with Coast Guard supply management.
• Demonstrated experience with Sector Allowancing.
• Advanced user-level proficiency with NESSS.
• Experience interpreting inventory item management codes.
• Experience analyzing supply item configuration data, material usage, and material demand.
• Experience reviewing or interpreting SAS allowance reports.
• Knowledge of Coast Guard supply and logistics management policies and procedures.
• Ability to provide expert guidance and problem resolution to logistics and supply personnel.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to satisfy Government access, badging, suitability, and cybersecurity training requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior direct support to USCG SFLC, ALD, Coast Guard Yard, Product Lines, Shared Service Divisions, or Coast Guard logistics organizations.
• Experience supporting logistics data modernization, supply system modernization, or finance/supply system requirements.
• Experience developing or updating supply process documentation, guides, training materials, or decision-support products.
• Experience supporting operational readiness through material demand validation and allowance analysis.
