Job Description

SAP S4/Hanna Materials Management (MM) Functional Consultant needed for a full time opportunity with SOC's direct client based in St. Louis, MO.

Contract Length: 6 month contract to hire

**Due to federal requirements, an Active DOW Secret Clearance to be considered for this role.**

Job Responsibilities:
The SAP Functional Consultant - Materials Management (MM) supports the design, configuration, implementation, testing, and sustainment of SAP S/4HANA Materials Management capabilities within the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program. This position partners with functional leads, business process owners, developers, and government stakeholders to modernize and optimize DoD supply chain, procurement, inventory, and logistics processes while ensuring compliance with Department of Defense standards and SAP best practices.
  • Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) functionality, including procurement, inventory management, material master data, valuation, and purchasing processes.
  • Analyze customer business requirements and translate them into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications.
  • Support end-to-end business process integration across SAP modules including:
    • Sales & Distribution (SD)
    • Finance (FI)
    • Controlling (CO)
    • Warehouse Management (EWM)
    • Transportation Management (TM)
    • Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
  • Participate in Fit-to-Standard workshops, business process design sessions, and solution demonstrations.
  • Develop Functional Design Documents (FDDs), configuration documentation, test scripts, user guides, and training materials.
  • Execute unit, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing while supporting defect analysis and resolution.
  • Collaborate with ABAP developers to define functional requirements for enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, and conversions.
  • Support data migration activities including material masters, purchasing documents, vendors, inventory, and pricing records.
  • Assist with release planning, production deployments, and post-production support.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and provide Tier II/Tier III production support.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO), cybersecurity, and audit activities as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of SAP Materials Management (MM) functional experience.
  • Experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Procurement
    • Purchasing
    • Inventory Management
    • Material Master
    • Vendor Master
    • Source Determination
    • Valuation
    • Physical Inventory
  • Experience writing functional specifications for custom developments.
  • Experience supporting testing and defect resolution.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and customer engagement skills.
  • Ability to maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal ERP programs.
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development.
  • Experience integrating MM with:
    • SAP Ariba
    • EWM
    • TM
    • FI/CO
    • SD
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications.
  • Experience with Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM.

Desired Certifications:
  • SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Materials Management
  • Agile Scrum Certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent)
  • Security+ (preferred for DoD environments)
