Everforth ECS is seeking an Environmental Policy Analyst to work in Silver Spring, MD . (This role requires being onsite 1 day per week).
Everforth ECS Federal seeks a full-time Environmental Policy Analyst to support NOAA Fisheries' Office of Science and Technology.
The Environmental Policy Analyst will be part of the Fisheries Information System team and will independently manage high-priority projects and provide high-level strategic and technical support. FIS is a state-regional-federal partnership supporting sound, science-based fisheries management. The role serves as a primary liaison between NOAA Fisheries and regional stakeholders to enhance the collection and quality of national fisheries data.

Job Responsibilities
- Leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless integration within the program.
- Establishing program governance, ensuring adherence to best practices, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Leading the full lifecycle of regional and national workshops and seminars, managing logistics, agendas, and summary reports.
- Coordinating across teams to ensure timely execution of tasks and milestone
achievement. - Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks, addressing challenges proactively.
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing program strategies to align with
organizational goals. - Ensuring effective communication across all levels, promoting transparency and alignment.
- Supporting regular program reviews, providing status updates and progress reports.
- Recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Implementing best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies to improve outcomes.
- Monitoring progress in completing team assignments and providing regular updates to team leads.
Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy, Marine Fisheries, Fisheries Science, or related field.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in project and/or program management with a natural resources or environmental management focus.
- Experience working with diverse teams of stakeholders (e.g., scientists, data users, fisheries managers).
- Excellent verbal and written skills with experience in writing technical and congressional reports.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Strong organization and people skills.
- Master's degree in Environmental Policy, Marine Fisheries, Fisheries Science, or related field.
- Experience or knowledge with marine fisheries information and/or management
programs or other science-based programs. - Experience or knowledge with data science and/or software development.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and Asana.
- Travel five to six weeklong meetings spread throughout the year
