Job Description

SAP Integration Suite Senior Developer needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work remotely.
Contract Length: 6+ Months contract to hire

*Active Secret Clearance highly desired*
Our client is seeking a highly skilled SAP Integration Suite Developer that will be responsible for the solutions that typically exchange data among SAP instances and external systems that are integral components across the program landscape
The developer will ensure SAP Integration Suite capabilities align with DoD transportation doctrine, regulatory requirements (DTR, DoD FMR), and Clean Core principles while supporting complex integrations across DoD and commercial transportation ecosystems.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the analysis of the customer's business operations to validate requirements and scope, suggest process improvements, and assist in level of effort (LOE) estimation, if required.
  • Analyze business requirements to design and develop end-to-end integration flows (iFlows) using various patterns like synchronous/asynchronous, event-driven, and API-led architectures.
  • Evaluate, model and design interface objects from an enterprise Service Architecture perspective to construct interfaces.
  • Configure connectors, mappings, routing rules, and security protocols (OAuth, SAML, SSL/TLS).
  • Configure standard and custom adapters (SFTP, REST, SOAP, OData, JDBC, IDoc) and manage message mapping, transformations, and routing.
  • Configure EDI interfaces using TPM Configuration, implement message mapping (MIG/MAG) and configure adapters (AS2, SFTP, OData).
  • Develop Groovy/Java scripts for complex mapping required to implement interfaces between SAP instances and external systems, traversing through the SAP Integration Suite instance.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug integration flows (iFlows) to resolve performance issues.
  • Implement SAP ABAP software applications and interfaces
  • Develop, test, debug, implement, maintain, and document interfaces using SAP Proxy and IDOC technologies
  • Developing and maintaining SAP design and technical specification documents
  • Conducting unit, integration, and release testing to validate functionality

Qualifications
  • 15+ years of SAP experience with 10+ years in SAP Integration Middleware.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BTP architecture
    • SAP integration patterns (APIs, middleware, event-driven)
    • EDI and B2B scenarios
  • Strong experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI/Cloud Integration), SAP Integration Advisor, and SAP BTP.
  • Proficiency in Groovy scripts, XSLT, and API management.
  • Deep understanding of EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12) and experience with DoD EDI standards (DTEB preferred).
  • Deep understanding of REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP, EDI, and JSON/XML formats.
  • Experience in API Management publishing, securing, and monitoring APIs while enforcing security policies (OAuth, SAML, SSL/TLS) to secure connectivity.
  • Ability to adhere to strict development standards and conduct code reviews
  • Knowledge of SAP IDOC processing and monitoring services including the SAP CPI IDOC sender and receiver adapters to transform messages from SAP IDOC to XML format
  • Knowledge of SAP ABAP client / server proxy technology
  • Ability to work individually (self-motivated) and within a team environment
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (minimum required).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in JTMS or similar DoD logistics modernization programs
  • Experience with SAP NS2 or IL5-hosted SAP environments
  • Training and certification with SAP BTP Integration Suite.
  • Technical degree with relevant field experience.
