Location: Orlando, FL (no telework) and must be willing and able to work onsite.

Security Clearance: active and current Secret with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.

The Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos currently has   openings for   Network Engineers   to work   in our   Orlando, FL   office .     This is an exciting opportunity to   get your career started by supporting   the   critical   United States Air Force (USAF)   Network Program.

 

The ideal candidate will   be responsible for   managing and   maintaining   a   Juniper   SSR SD-WAN implementation, work with stakeholders to bring new capabilities onto the   network, and   create service-based routing to allow for network optimization .  

Primary Responsibilities  

  • Provide Network Engineering support to include planning, designing, and evaluating specific network architecture.  
  • S upport the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Juniper network hardware and software.   Develop and manage policies and profiles to   optimize   application delivery and security.   W
  • W ork with Tier 2 Managers to   establish   regular monitoring of network devices to ensure   optimal   performance.  
  • Under the guidance of Cyber Team members,   c onduct regular security assessments and implement necessary updates and patches.  
  • Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and application developers to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.  
  • Support Classified IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical   expertise   to resolve networking events, as well as update and configure equipment while   maintaining   a configuration management process throughout the systems life cycle.  


Basic Qualifications  

  • BS   in a relevant technical discipline   with 2-8 years   of overall related   experience ,   or MS   in a relevant technical discipline .    Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  
  • Current and Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
  • K nowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security practices .    
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills .  
  • Strong desire   for continual learning and skills development . 


Preferred Qualifications  

  • Juniper Certified or   Cisco Certified.
  • RedHat   s upport experience.  
  • SD-WAN experience.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of   SAFe   Agile implementation.
  • Experience with large weapons systems and command and control platforms across the DoD portfolio.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of   Cloud and Edge Computing and Network s
