Job Description
The contractor shall perform editing and technical writing duties. Key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring the EVS unclassified and classified VoIP documents remain compliant with all applicable DISA, Joint Force Head Quarters-DoD Information Network, and United States Cyber Command security policies and directives.
• Author authoritative technical documents, including Concept of Operations (CONOPS), System Security Plans (SSPs), High-Level Designs (HLDs), and Disaster Recovery/COOP plans for enterprise-level systems.
• Draft, edit, and format technical documentation, SOPs, SOX, ISCP, DRP, including network diagrams, user manuals, installation guides, and system architecture documents in support of DISA enterprise systems.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation related to Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), and Impact Level (IL4/IL5/IL6) compliance.
• Lead the preparation and alignment of documentation supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages, specifically mapping to NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD Cloud SRG requirements (IL5/IL6).
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), network engineers, system administrators, and cybersecurity analysts to gather necessary information and translate technical jargon into accessible language.
• Standardize and maintain document repositories, ensuring version control and adherence to strict DoD and DISA style guides and formatting standards.
• Conduct peer reviews and quality assurance checks on deliverables to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all project documentation.

Required skills and Education
Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Certificate / License required CompTIA Security+
3-5+ years of technical writing experience, with at least 2 years directly supporting DoD or federal government IT programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and collaborative enterprise tools. Working knowledge of NIST Special Publications, DoD Instructions (DoDI)
• Work independently to manage and execute all required documentation.
• Strong written, verbal and cognitive communication skills are required to advise the government, prepare documentation, and coordinate with team members. A proven ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
