General Summary:
Our client is seeking to hire Fire Alarm & Mass Notification Technicians for their AFCAP task order supporting the Al Udeid Air Base and the Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron to deliver Civil Engineering Base Operating Support.
As the Fire Alarm & Mass Notification Technician, you will be deployed in Qatar and perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various fire alarms systems and suppression equipment.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, service, maintain, repair fire alarm and suppression systems.
Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Develop and implement procedures to identify and prevent defective services from recurring.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
NICET Certified Level I – Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems is required
High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering is highly desired.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in the Fire Protection/Life Safety Industry including experience in Fire Alarm & Suppression Field as Journeyman and/or Foreman.
Extensive knowledge of various types of Sprinkler Systems (wet, kitchen extinguishing, etc.)
Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License and a valid U.S. Passport.
Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD 18 to USCENTCOM individual and individual-unit deployment policy.
Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar.
High level of knowledge & application of the National Fire Alarm Code and pertinent UFC codes.
Must be thoroughly capable of reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, as well as building construction drawings and documents.
Ability and willingness to work independently and as a team member on all aspects of fire sprinkler systems, including maintenance, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting
Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
