Job Description
CSCI Consulting is seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to support a federal government client in delivering mission-critical technology solutions using Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies. The Scrum Master will serve as a servant leader, Agile coach, and facilitator, helping teams deliver high-quality solutions while fostering continuous improvement and collaboration across stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach Agile teams operating within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and other Agile ceremonies
- Guide teams in developing PI objectives and aligning work to program priorities
- Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to support backlog refinement and prioritization
- Identify, track, and remove impediments while coordinating with stakeholders to resolve dependencies
- Monitor team performance using Agile metrics and drive continuous process improvements
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to ensure consistency of Agile practices across teams
- Coordinate with architects, cybersecurity teams, developers, and business stakeholders to support successful delivery
- Support release planning and management of cross-team dependencies
- Mentor and coach team members to develop high-performing, self-organizing teams
- Assist with capacity planning, resource allocation, and staffing coordination
- Ensure quality, timeliness, and successful execution of assigned work
Minimum Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Seven (7)+ years of relevant professional experience
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified SAFe Scrum Master certification
- Three (3)+ years leading Agile Scrum and/or SAFe teams
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements management, development and testing, configuration management, quality assurance, and release management
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence
Preferred Skills
- SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner, or other advanced Agile certifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs
- Experience supporting Federal Financial Management systems or initiatives
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
- Experience supporting data warehouse or enterprise integration environments
- Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of secure software development practices and software security frameworks
- Experience working within CI/CD and DevSecOps environments
- Ability to apply advanced concepts and innovative approaches to complex technical challenges
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a Federal agency
- Department of War experience is a plus!
